Do you hate Callie now ?

I understand that she was in a bind and felt desperate, but she basically said, she gave up sooo much. So basically she’s been lying all season. Lying about loving Wyatt, lying about being over Brandon, lying in general. It makes her a whole lot less likeable. I am not cheering for her to become an Adams Foster. I don’t really care. I thought she wanted a family, but she wants the boy. Enjoy!

I in no way think she was lying when she told Wyatt she loved him. If she was going to blatantly lie, she wouldn’t have restled over it so much. I find it odd that people seem to think it’s impossible to love more than one person at a time. I never believed she was over Brandon (blah), but when she told Wyatt in 1x21 that Brandon is out of the question, I also don’t think she was lying, because she WANTED to believe that the adoption would eventually go through.

But yes, the ‘I gave up so much’ line really made me cringe. Actually, I yelled ‘ARRRRRGHHHH!!!!!’

As a viewer, I want the writers to acknowledge that family is more important than a teenage boyfriend. Especially now that they have created such an attachment between Stef and Callie, Callie and Mariana. Yet deep down I know they are trying to show Callie’s actions from a ‘teens’ POV, I just don’t like it one bit.

I always seem to end up liking shows with a lot of teen romance. Which is weird, because I am NEVER interested in that aspect. I got into The Fosters to follow Callie’s own personal journey. Brallie is tarnishing that majorly, but I think I’ll always have an interest in her characters storyline, along with Stef and Lena, Jude, and Mariana.

These are the reasons I watch The Fosters.
I watch for beautiful moments between parents and their children.
I watch for family, for a sense of home.
I watch for solid, kind words from parents I wish I had had.
I watch for characters who, like me, are different.
I watch for families that are different.
I watch for characters who are resilient but real.
To be frank I watch for all the reasons BUT teen romance.

2x08 Promo Theory:
This is based off of a few difference sources/photos/promo/press releases. NOT based on spoilers.
Callie visits Girls United. Finds out that Girls United may get shut down. Either for insurance fraud or out of anger, one of the current residents tries to burn the place down. My guess is either Becka or a new girl. Callie gets out, but doesn’t see Rita and/or Becka. She goes back in to find them. Finds them either up stairs or in the basement. She is unable to save them (either they perish or the fire fighters help). She gets out. Stef is there to meet her. Although, she is wearing a different top, so I could be way off and it’s another day.
